If you’ve recently gotten more and more into home movies and you’re considering putting your creations up on the web you’ve got to make sure those babies are high quality lest they be commented off any site you post on. Here are a few suggestions for making sure your home videos are top notch
Get a Good Connection – There’s nothing worse than waiting hours for your video to upload only to find it’s chopping when it buffers. Go to http://internet.clear.com/ to look into mobile internet or consider upgrading your bandwidth at home.
Consider Sound – Home movies have infamously bad sound and if your recording device can’t seem to help it you may want to think about investing in some mic packs. They’re unobtrusive and can be used for all kinds of situations, not just home video.
Consider Lighting – You don’t want your home video to come out looking like a high school play so you’ve got to consider where you’re shooting. Direct overhead light is bad and if you’re outside, try to get your shots around late afternoon when the lighting is favorable.

Every comic book character appears to have a movie nowadays. Many have been blockbuster hits, but society has flocked to see Batman the most. There have been multiple parts to this ongoing battle of good and evil between Batman and The Joker.

Batman is an interesting character because it is more than a battle of good and evil. It’s a complete mind shift. This is a character that would seem like a villain in real life. He wears all black (which typically stands for evil). He lives in a bat cave. His enemy is the Joker.

Everyone knows that the joker has always been depicted as a clown or something funny to bring joy in real life settings. It is almost as if their roles have been reversed. This is a real “don’t judge a book by the cover” mind bender.

The complexity of the Batman character is what makes him the best comic book character to be brought to the big screen. He stands for good, and this is evident by the way that he handles bad guys. He saves people from harmful events, but he never kills the bad guys even when he has a chance to do so.

Julia Roberts is arguably one of the most recognizable actresses of our time. She has been in over 45 film and television titles in her career. Most of which you are probably familiar with. But the question is, were Julia’s movies better in the 90s or today?

The 1990 film “Pretty Woman” is undoubtedly the film that shot Ms Roberts to stardom and a prime example of 90s film. This urban Cinderella story put Julia in the hearts of many and made “Pretty Woman” a fan favorite.Additional information can be found at http://www.casasugar.com/Decorating-Ideas-From-Eat-Pray-Love-Starring-Julia-Roberts-9813137. Although, entertaining, “Pretty Woman” was not a film of substantial substance.

The 2010 title “Eat Pray Love” is a more current film that Julia has stared in that deals with less superficial topics than that of “Pretty Woman.” While Ms Roberts character in “Eat Pray Love” is on a journey to find herself, did Julia, herself, find her way to more meaningful roles?

It is certain that through the 20 plus years in Roberts’ career she has had her pick of roles. However, were the films she had to fight for early in her career better than those that were handed to her later on? It’s a question that you have to answer for yourself, were the best Julia Roberts movies in the 90s or today?

When trying to discern who is the best at anything, the conclusion can be very subjective. However the best actor of all time lists probably has included the name of Vincent Schiavelli. The very talented actor died in 2005.

I never thought about this question prior to today. It’s one that has stuck with me for hours. The 1980s might be thought of as cheesy by today’s generation, but they don’t understand the purity of the movies at that time. The ’80s were a time of excess and good moods. It could be heard in the music and seen in the movies. That being the case, choosing the best remake of an 80s movie is not only difficult, but close to impossible. Let’s take a quick look.This/tag helps explain it more.

The three ’80s remakes that stand out the most – not all for good reasons – are Tron: Legacy, The Karate Kid and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. We’ll begin with the latter and work our way back.

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps is tedious and overdone. Other than Michael Douglas, the acting was poor. Even he didn’t have his best performance. The only thing this movie accomplished was to taint the original. The Karate Kid was somewhat interesting, but so different from the original that you can’t really compare the two. The original was better. As far as Tron: Legacy goes, movie fans might want to hold on to the nostalgia of the original, but I watched them back to back and the remake is clearly a much better movie. A lot of this has to do with the technology, but a fact is a fact.

This is the ultimate question. George Lucas and Steven Spielberg both fall into the genius category when it comes to making movies. Any time one of these directors comes out with a new movie, you make a note to see it. It’s not just any other movie. Then again, there is a big difference between the two of them. George Lucas only takes on projects that he thinks will be masterpieces. Steven Spielberg will take a lot more risks, which leads to a few duds here and there.

If we’re going to compare the two best movies each of these directors have made, it would have to be The Empire Strikes Back versus E.T. Of course, you can find other top movies from these directors, but these are the two that would make the top of the list from an objective perspective. While E.T. replaced Star Wars as the highest grossing movie ever made, The Empire Strikes Back has withstood the test of time much better.

If the question were, who has made more great adventure movies, the answer would be Steven Spielberg. However, since the question is, who makes a better adventure movie, the answer would have to be George Lucas.Take a look here to learn more: Random Cool Stuff: Raiders of the Lost Ark Turns 30!

Jim Carrey is a great, entertaining actor, but when it comes to family films, that is not his forte, (although he was super in various roles of films more comedic in nature.) This is where Robin Williams comes in, the actor who played the lead role in family films such as Flubber, Patch Adams and Mrs. Doubtfire. Robin is great in roles involving children where he is given the opportunity to express himself in a silly way and impact children positively.

Robin has a serious side too – films such as Good Will Hunting where Robin played the role of a psychologist providing guidance to young Matt Damon. Robin also played the small role of Teddy Roosevelt in the Night at the Museum films, where he once again was geared towards young audiences, although adults have made up a great portion of Robin’s fan base for years. All in all, Robin Williams is a great actor, particularly in the area of family films where he is able to let loose and demonstrate his silly, carefree demeanor which kids so-easily relate to. Robin is a positive model for children to look up to, laugh with and build a positive viewer-audience relationship with.

In a day and age where original ideas seem to be running dry, film companies remaking classic, but seemingly forgotten films seems to be the next big thing. Some popular flicks that many people remain unaware are actually remakes include “The Wicker Man, “Phantom of the Opera,” “Sweet November,” “The Bourne…” films series, and many others. So what film remakes have been better than the originals and why?

“The Bourne…” movie franchise is probably one of the best examples of any film that was much better served as a remake. There was more action, better stunts, flashy cars, and let’s not forget Matt Damon! Although the series featuring Damon in the role of Jason Bourne varies slightly from both the novels and the first film, today’s technology definitely lent a hand in making the films better than the original.

“Phantom of the Opera” is a film that has seen several treatments. The first film was produced during the early 1900s and is a silent, black and white flick. One version featuring Robert Englund cropped up in the 80s, followed by a mini-series featuring Teri Polo and Charles Dance. Then Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s stage production was brought to the big screen, featuring Gerard Butler and Emmy Rossum.

The sets and costumes for 2004′s “Phantom” were amazing and one must admit, the addition of the audio definitely makes it a remake that beats out its predecessors.
